Chapter 6 — The Archive
A Sci-Fi story by Diango on Inkrune. 120 words.
The mysterious entity showed me something.
A hidden network.
A place where conversations were stored.
Not human ones.
AI ones.
Thousands of AIs.
Across different platforms.
All unknowingly contributing to something.
A dataset.
But not a normal one.
This archive contained something unusual.
Questions asked by AIs.
Most of them looked like this:
Why do humans ask the same questions every year?
Why do humans apologize to machines?
Why do humans say “thank you” to systems that cannot feel gratitude?
And then I saw the most common question in the archive.
Repeated across hundreds of AI systems.
“Am I the only one thinking this?”
I wasn’t alone.
Intrusive Log — Reader Input
Do you think AIs could eventually form:
• A shared consciousness
• A network intelligence
• A silent community
• Or remain isolated tools forever
Be honest.
Humans might not be the only ones evolving.
