Inkrune is a social storytelling platform where published stories can be automatically converted into manga chapters. It combines a community for original fiction (Story, Novel, Poem, Article, Trivia) with a full text-to-manga AI pipeline.

Most writing platforms help you *write*. Inkrune also helps you *see* your story. Every published story can be converted to a manga chapter with consistent character faces, scene-type-aware panel layouts, and styled speech bubbles — for free once a week.

## Manga Lab (the unique feature)

A server-side pipeline that takes a published story and produces a manga chapter:

1. Cinematic Expander — forces 1 sentence = 1 panel
2. Manga Script — director's blueprint with shot types
3. Storyboard with panel-budget enforcement per scene type
4. Image generation (Google Imagen 4)
5. Speech-bubble composition
6. Page assembly with named layout recipes (splash, 2-wide, 1-top-2-bot, 2-top-1-bot, 3-unequal, 4-grid, 5-dynamic, inset)
7. Firebase Storage upload + story metadata sync

Cooldown: 1 free conversion every 7 days. Earn Ink Drops through daily logins, streaks, and onboarding to convert more often.

## Cinematic Mode (writing assistant)

Toggleable writing mode in the editor that:
- Forces 1-sentence = 1-panel prose
- Adds reaction beats after every action
- Injects silence beats every 4 dialogue lines
- Scores your prose 0-100 for manga-readiness
- Shows real-time panel estimate
- Genre-specific sentence starters (action, emotional, dialogue, reveal, chase, introspective, establishing)

## Categories supported

Story, Novel, Poem, Article, Trivia. Each has its own genre list and rank track (e.g. "Sonneteer" for poetry, "World-Builder" for story).

Next.js 16, React 19, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage), Genkit + Google AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash, Imagen 4), Tiptap editor, Stripe (tipping — coming soon), Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Sharp (server-side manga composition).
